These are sketches of my little garden in late summer. John designed and built the copper structure several years ago to support my climbing rose.
The fountain was fun to sketch. It was my first attempt to capture the look of water.
This Quince tree is very old but still produces a good crop of fruit each year. Actually, we pick them off several times during the summer because they are quite heavy and we don’t want to strain the already leaning tree.

This blog is about my journey as a botanical artist--what I am learning, what inspires me and what I am currently drawing or painting. My desire is to continually hone my skills to better express my wonder and gratitude for the beauty of the creation around me in the Pacific Northwest (USA).
I would love to hear from you...
