Verbascum in a field

I spent the afternoon sketching in a friends garden awhile back. In an area away from the main garden she lets the Verbascum reseed themselves, and I thought they were so pretty with the enormous Douglas Firs as a backdrop.

  1. This is gorgeous and I really wanted to have a closer look! 🙁 Will you be trying this in color?

  2. Simply lovely!

  3. Absolutely stunning! How are you doing this? Your drawings, even though in b/w, look so photographic and still they bear this “romantic” touch of drawings.
Oh, and your mascot is adorable! Love it!

  4. It’s breathtaking! I really like the blurred out background, and then pops one that’s the main focus of the entire piece. It’s marvelous! Raena is right, it’d be so cool to see a colored version too…but that’d probably be too much work. I like this as it is ^^
Thanks for your comment on my watercolor painting too.

  5. Wonderful atmospheric perspective!

  6. Thank you! I hadn’t thought about a color version but maybe I will try it.
