I bought this lamp many years ago at our neighbor’s yard sale when we first moved into the neighborhood. I am not too big on antiques but the lamp gives a cozy feel to our guest room, and it reminds me of days gone by. It gives off a soft glow in the room, and has delicate hand painted flowers on the glass base. I like to have a few things around me to link me to the past.
This blog is about my journey as a botanical artist--what I am learning, what inspires me and what I am currently drawing or painting. My desire is to continually hone my skills to better express my wonder and gratitude for the beauty of the creation around me in the Pacific Northwest (USA).

Eden, Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments! I must confess that I feel I have stolen your name in a way, but what I had in mind is Eden as in the garden! I am a landscape designer, and I use the Eden in my business name too. It is strange that the blogger count was your birthday…wow.
