Here’s another attempt at the beautiful St. Johns Bridge. The graceful cathedral-like structure with the misty, dark Douglas Fir-covered hills in the background make me want to sketch this scene every time I drive over the bridge. Of course, the other drivers wouldn’t appreciate it if I stopped right then and there, so I found a little cafe nearby where I could stay warm and dry while I sketched away.

Hi Janene, I like your “St. Johns Bridge”. I think the streaks are most effective in giving the feel of the rainy Pacific Northwest. The bridge is superbly rendered. I don’t know why people wouldn’t appreciate your stopping on the bridge…:)

That came out great. You really have the mood and feeling of the day. I’m just north of you in British Columbia and we are having the exact same weather. (At least it is mild and no shoveling)
