The botanical art exhibition opened in the elegant Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, Oregon on a moonlit October evening. The garden is a favorite destination for both tourists and locals, so we, as the participating artists, are pleased to have our artwork on display in such a beautiful and popular setting. The show will continue through October and November of 2019. If you are in Portland this fall, don’t miss this beautiful show!
All of the participating artists are members of Oregon Botanical Artists or Pacific Northwest Botanical Artists, which are both under the auspices of the American Society of Botanical Artists. Seventeen local artists have provided fifty paintings, displayed in two galleries. I have two paintings in the show–the Camellias shown below. The garden will host artist demos and ‘meet the artist‘ events in October and November. Hope to see you there!
A Note to My Email Subscribers
I have had some glitches in my blog recently which caused several notices of my last two posts to go out to some subscribers, and some subscribers didn’t get any notices. I apologize for this annoyance, and plead for your patience. I am trying my hardest to remedy the situation! Thank you for subscribing to my blog.
Beautiful paintings of Camelias, one of my favourite flowers coming into blossom as they do at the end of the winter, however my St Ewe, a lovely single one generally starts to flower at the end of December. Wish I could be there!
Thanks, Angela! I wish you could be here too! 🙂
